From January 2026, families will also benefit from the Australian Government’s 3-Day Guarantee, making childcare more affordable and accessible. All Child Care Subsidy (CCS) eligible families will be entitled to a minimum of 3 days subsidised care per week.

More support for families in 2026
Effective 5 January 2026, the Australian Government’s 3 Day Guarantee supports greater access to subsidised childcare for more families.
Child Care Subsidy (CCS) eligible families can access a minimum of 72 hours of subsidised care per fortnight, typically 3 days per week, subject to availability at your chosen centre.
This means:
- More time for your child to learn, play and grow
- More flexibility and support for you
- More affordable care for more families
